Okay, so clearly I’m more versed in photography than in flower identification, which is pretty sad when you consider that every plant in this place was prominently labeled.

Here’s another case of not knowing what I’m photographing. But it’s a cool looking plant, whatever it is… and a good subject to learn a little about the new macro lens with.

Another case of not knowing what I’m photographing. In my old film days, I’d take a notebook and mark all the settings andnotes on the subject. In some respect, all the EXIF stuff makes me lazier.

Whatever this plant is, it’s the first shot with the macro that went more or less as I hoped/expected it would. I actually like this one quite a bit.

They all needed more DOF. Might have been better to have the polarizing filter off in this flat light.

The water dripping off the head was from the hose trickling into her hair. I liked the line of the hose leading to the top of her head.

Here’s a wider view of the statue and the watering system. I presume it’s a temporary hose, but I think it added to the overall impression.
