bill’s eye photos is a creation of Bill Banning from Escondido, California. Bill’s day job is the current phase of his 30+ year career in public education. His background includes stints as an elementary and middle school music teacher, a show director for Up With People, a high school band director, a computer teacher, an assistant principal, a principal, and an assistant superintendent.
Sarah is Bill’s daughter. She’s an aspiring animator, presently interning with the Jim Henson Company. She’s also the central inspiration for the Genius Chronicles.
Oden is Bill’s nephew. He’s, well… Oden.
Getting around the site:
There are two ways to browse images. Both viewing options start at the main gallery index (linked on the header of each page).
1.) To view by self-paced slideshow:
In the main gallery index, scroll to the gallery you want to view. Click the thumbnail strip below any gallery to navigate to the gallery page. On the gallery page, click any of the thumbnails to start a self-paced slideshow against a dark background. Move through slideshow images by:
- clicking on the right side of an image (or typing an N) to move forward
- clicking on the left side of an image (or typing a P) to move backwards
- to exit the slideshow, click the X at the bottom of any image (or just click outside the image)
2.) To view by individual image posts:
On each of the gallery thumbnail pages there is a link that will take you to a thread of image posts that contain some brief information about the image. This method also allows you to leave comments about specific images. You can also click any link on the right navigation column under the heading image blog posts by category. When browsing by image posts you can:
- click on any image to see an enlarged version
- read any comments or leave a new one
- see basic information about each image
